Beena Butterfly Valves
Beena Valves are known for their brand name in manufacturing different types of valves in the industry. A butterfly valve is a valve subsist of a rotating circular plate or a pair of hinged semicircular plates, attached to a transverse spindle and mounted inside a pipe in order to regulate of prevent flow.
A Butterfly Valve by Beena valves are used to control the flow of material through a circular pipe or tube. Normally the material is air, gas, steam, or liquid or certain dry materials may also be handled through a butterfly valve.
The valve is made up of a body, seat, disc, stem, and actuator. Each component part is available in an assortment of materials called “trim features.” Properly combining trim features to address material handled and environment is important in selecting the correct model valve for its intended service.
Applications of Butterfly Valve
As stated earlier, Butterfly Valves are generally précised for most air, gas, steam, and liquid applications. They offer an excellent, economically priced, positive shut-off valve for handling materials (e.g. gases and liquids) that are easily displaced by the valve disc as it closes. When handling this type of material, butterfly valves provide a reliable, bubble-tight, bi-directional shut off.
Care must be taken when applying a butterfly valve in semi-coarse or coarse dry material applications (this includes slurry applications that contain suspended particles)

The high performance Knife Gate Valves feature. Non Sliding Motion, Avoid Sliding Contact between Body & Gate allow flushing of media form the valve interior. Body | MSS SP-81 requires the valve body (pressure vessel and related structure) to designed for and hydrostatically pressure tested to 1.5 times the rated working pressure - Valve rated pressure – 150 psi
- Body test pressure – 225 psi
| Gate | MSS SP-81 requires the gate to be designed for and hydrostatically pressure tested to 1.1 times the rated working pressure - Valve rated pressure - 225 psi
- Gate test pressure - 165 psi
| Seat | MSS SP 81 has an allowable leakage rate (for metal to metal seated valves) of 40 cc per inch of diameter, per minute at 40 psi pressure. On a 12” valves this would be equal 40 times 12, or 480 cc per minute at 40 psi. - Maximum allowable leakage of 0.6 GPM when tested with water at 40 psi applied in the normal flow direction.
- No visible leakage when tested with water at 40 psi (For Soft seated valves only)

"Flowrise®" Piston valve was Innovated by replacing the disk and seat of a conventional globe valve with a cylindrical piston and two resilient, replaceable sealing rings. Constant research and development have resulted in sealing rings that provide the piston valve with an extraordinary ability to seal line pressure and prevent leakage to the atmosphere.
Independent testing laboratories have subjected piston valves to API fire tests and Helium leak tests. The piston valve has out-performed other generic valve types in these tests; and these results have been consistently confirmed by extraordinary performance in customer installations.
An Good sealing system: Amazingly simple and Smooth tight A stainless steel piston enclosed by two valve rings makes up the sealing element. The upper valve ring provides the stem seal, white the lower valve ring seals the passage. The large sealing surface on the piston and rings provides an optimal seal. When closing the valve, the piston pushes and wipes away any impurities, which might be present in the fluid, ahead of itself. Therefore media with fibrous or contaminated constituents are reliably sealed.
Excellent control The double guidance of the piston in the closed position prevents fluttering and vibration in the throttled position and is better able to handle turbulence in the pipeline. The KVN is ideal for the bypass around a modulating control valve. The valve stays in the line while changing the valve-rings Once installed, the valve is absolutely maintenance free for a long time.In case worn valve rings have to be changed, this is very easily done with the valve in the line. |
